Spring Tour
Bored and tired with this snow, time to plan for that spring road trip.
Last year we drove some interesting new roads in SE Wa. with Paul Y. on the way down to Portland. Here is a rough idea for the spring route, I have driven all the sections on separate occasions and linking them together would make for an interesting new tour.
It would start in Bremerton, go down the east side of the Olympic Peninsula on secondary and remote roads . These are the roads we returned on in May 09 on the PCA Olympic P tour. West to Astoria avoiding most of #4 by alternate routes and Astoria to Portland on 90 miles of challenging twistyness.
One question for you Bremerton folks, is there a ferry from Tahuya to Union?
Most of this tour is low elevation and is a good spring choice.
