You can just use SC flares to get 8" tires if you want - that's the way my '74 is set up. I like the original/stock look of the narrow body cars, but like most I prefer to be able to run 16" wheels with wider tires. My measurements indicate that I should be able to get 9" rears and 8" fronts with this setup but haven't actually done it yet to see if reality matches theory.
