Gents - this thread is a few months old, and I am already committed at this point.

Having started the job a few weeks ago and finding the large washers shot (rusted inside face), and having apparently fixed a small leak (another more current thread), I hope to get the poly-graphites on tomorrow.
I'll report my findings about the noise if significant when she's back on the road.
