My Dad has built some cool 427 engines. there's a 63 1/2 up in the Sacramento area that has one of his engines in it.
He built one that the first cylinder on each side was sleaved down to measure out to a 400 cubic inch engine but the rest of the engine had the 427 size pistons plus .060 over.
I have a hankering to build up a '66 Fairlane, you could get them with a 427 if you had $$$$. My second car was a 390 that had some good work to it.
I want to build it up with a 351 based stroker in the 420ci ish range
