Getting the blower out is a bit fidley but not hard.
first I took off the hard plastic houses unplug the terminal
then there are 3 nuts that hold the motor down. the hole
thing comes out, I undid the screws on the duct that runs out of
the fan housing, but no need to do that. it all works well now,
I went out for a drive Sunday with the heater running all still fine.
It looks that the blower motor can be completely re built, my Porsche
parts guy only wanted to sell me a new unit.
My car is 85 euro.
Thanks Steve.
