Just did it last week on a 964.
I was able to replace the duct without removing the air blower tube.
3 bolts and then just squish it out.
Make sure the new one fits correctly on the curved section at the back. Mine had different clips but still locked in successfully.
Tight fit to squish the blower tube onto the air duct. Maybe some soapy water would help if you get stuck.
Hold into the best position before tightening as there is some 'movement' or 'adjustment' in the bolt holes.
