The 34 & 303 are good examples of well-made Brit Hifi from the 70s with the amp (33) being the better sounding of the two. Designed by Peter Walker before his son Ross took over the helm & flushed the company. The price may be a bit stiff - a bit of a cult thing - but they are actually quite good. The company still exists but with Asian owners.

I have owned a Quad II power amp & Quad ESL63 speakers in the past & I sold Quad in the late 80s. And yes, I was a victim of Ross's insults on numerous occasions. His most famous quip: "I don't build what people want, I build what they need."
