I grew up the son of a cop, and was properly trained in handling and using guns. If everyone was properly trained how to handle guns, there would be far less accidental shootings.
And don't even come to me with that "taking the guns away from criminals" crap, because 1) If someone is going to kill you, they will just use a knife or an axe or a chainsaw or a stick with a nail in it if they can't find a gun, and 2) criminals will ALWAYS be able to get guns, whether we illegalize them or not. They are already criminals, they don't care about the law.
I am not a gun nut, I don't own a gun. I am actually VERY liberal (can't stand Bush
), but gun control is one of the things I think the government wastes too much money on
And the war on drugs too.
