Of all the places mentioned, Harrahs' is probably the most centrally located and closest to all the hot spots. Though I find the casino and hotel rooms a tad tired. Red Rock is way far from the Strip, like 20 min. at least by car. Mandalay Bay is good, but pretty much the southern end of things and far from everything else. Paris is good, very nice, good eats, good gambling. I went to the Pawn Stars shop and it was the lamest store I've ever been to. I swear, Goodwill in the hood has more and better stuff. You couldn't pay me to go there again. Wynn and Encore are good, but not cheap at all. There's a topless beach at Encore and it can been quite a scene with lots of silicone.
Drinks are just stupid expensive in Vegas anymore. The freebies are ok if you're gambling, but ordering at the bar is just like getting robbed at gunpoint and having the robber pour something in your cup. My company had its annual sales conf. at Mandalay Bay in Jan. One night we had a the bar at the top of The Hotel to ourselves and an open tab. Drinks were $12 minimum and nothing below that was allowed. My boss had to pay $6 for a can of Red Bull because it was too cheap to go on the tab. Between the 150 of us, our bar tabs easy ran $5k-$10k per night and that was always AFTER the stupid expensive and bad dinners.
