I read about the email from AT&T as well , keep tethering Hugh and see what happens. I am not convinced they can tell if you are tethered unless 2 ip's show up under a single connection.
Have not heard of a verified email from Att - yet.
I also believe you have to give up the unlimited plan to add the $20 hotspot. Bill is $25 for 2g and $20 more for 2 g tether.
