I recently purschased a 1997 Boxster W/ TPC Supercharger/K&N Air Filter/B&B Exhaust/B&B Headers. With boost at 6 PSI it puts down 260 HP to the wheels with 270 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. I am used to factory turbocharged cars and this is my first foray into a REALLY modded car (as in NEVER intended to operate like this from the factory). It definitely makes the car more frantic and less refined than I'm used to BUT, boy does it sure pull like a Carrera AND there's torque from 1K on up on the tach which is REDICULOUS! So far this car has gone over 12K miles with these mods. Hopefully it holds together for many more. So far, so good though--got it inspected and NO OIL LEAKS! I've had it for a 1K miles so far. Recommended if you want a unique car/different car and you want to go to shows but, you're probably better off from a cost standpoint in just getting a Boxster S unless you can buy a Boxster already modded this way as I did. Ride is worlds apart though and hella fun!
