I have been battling the dreaded cancer for the past four months. The diagnosis came out of the blue. I had never felt better. Never been ill in my life. Never even taken a sick day. But there it was—and me far too young for this sort of shyte.

Anyhow, the treatment has been going very well. The doctors very pleased and optimistic. And it all culminates in surgery this coming Monday. That could could go either way—although, as I said, the quacks are optimistic. And who am I to argue with this?

If it goes well, I'll soon be back here annoying you with my social liberal/fiscal conservative/anti-war/spaceship-earth/mendacity-free view of the world. If it goes badly—well you won't have Dottore to kick around any more.

So wish me luck. It's been a kick.
