A rather significant understatement IMO. The 916/748 series has got to be one of the least comfortable machines on the planet. The riding position only makes sense when you are going flat out, which of course you cannot do except on a closed circuit because the bike is too fast on the street.

How long do you think that Enfield would hold your fancy? Seriously?
If you like the idea of a street thumper, have you considered a KTM duke? Earlier models are not real common, but they are around and trade for 3-4k. Not going to be a good distance machine, but my god are they fun to squirt around town on. I rode my buddy's around San Fran and it put a HUGE smile on my face. I'd seriously consider trading my trusty Duc monster 900 for one.
