There were literally only 2 days this winter where my commute took longer than normal due to weather.
When we got the huge snowstorm, rwd vs awd didn't matter, you needed ground clearance. Again this was one day this winter.
I will freely admit the awd can make things easier, but it is important to realize that it is not a necessity.
