Possible that they are running a co gen system to offset electrical costs.
It is not unusual for larger facilities to be able to buy gas cheaper than they can buy power, so they burn gas, make steam, spin a turbine coupled to a generator. Will provide back up power for the facility if required.
As an extra added bonus they usually fire absorption chillers with their "waste" heat.
