Without details on what has been done to the engine, what it is and what it costs it is hard to comment. What instructions come with the kit, what warranty, etc. Too many unknowns.
There are people who rebuild our engines, make them 3.6 or even 3.8s and address any known weaknesses with parts that are designed to be better, install it, dyno tune the car giving you the results, figure out the flash, road test the car and deliver it all back to you so you know the power and the driveability are one source. And there are people who rebuild the engine with stock parts. And some do something in between.
The devil is in the details. HP is not cheap. Doing it wrong is more expensive.
