Getting the car back together after repairing a stuck valve and having that head overhauled. Passed California smog no problem. Running very smooth finally, so many air leaks.
Minor issue, the boost is taking forever to build, When I had the waiste gate off it was sealing fine, not stuck open, which I hear is rare to be stuck open. Factory boost gauge not indicating any pressure. Needle Deflects when disconnected. I know it is inaccurate.
When shifting under a serious load the RPM's stay up between gears like I was power shifting. Even though I am letting off the gas. Could there be pressure keeping the throttle body open?
I had also replaced those diverter valve plastic cushions inside of it also.
I am thinking my diverter valve my be reassembled wrong? Not the first time I put things together wrong. Some boost is getting through I can feel the turbo effect.
Here is a video when I push on the throttle you can here it open. Should it only do that when the throttle is closed under a load.
Thanks Danny
