I clearly stated in my note with the wheels and over the phone "just like the silver finish on any new Porsche or BMW". This finish was also offered on 1989 911s (other years too, I believe) as an option, I've seen it myself a few times, it's not completely out of the ordinary. I have no problem with the shade or metallic flake. It's the surface finish and the other flaws.
I've spoken with the owner on the phone about the issue, he's given me some options which I'm thinking over.
