Absolute BS.
I have an MBA from whatever tier virginia tech is. I use the knowledge and problem solving strategies all the time. You can get "connections" anywhere: rotary, chamber of commerce, trade shows, etc. taking a problem and dissecting it from all sides in a group setting...much like the real work world...is especially valuable.
True, I don't work in the wood paneled inner sanctum of a fortune 500 firm, but that's now what I wanted to do.
