My house in a residential neighborhood on a "wash" (strip of desert/ditch). In the eight years I've been here I have removed 4 Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes and one Sonoran Gopher Snake(plus a big one that got away!). The last rattler was a couple weeks ago. I catch them and release them in the desert. But I've never had them disrespect me is such a way as yours!
Weasel, you should post your photo here.
Welcome to SNAKES OF ARIZONA ! ! . This website has photos of snakes in Arizona and where they were found. The website identifies them and groups them by species. It's how I found out what a Sonoran Gopher Snake is.
