My thought is its probably much easier than doing any of the V-8 swaps as seen below but many people with motivation still complete those. Almost all of the parts will bolt directly over since he has both vehicles. Is it an early or a late 85? I am not sure why someone asked about having the suspension all set up either because all of that can be directly swapped over as well. The wiring harnesses should be able to be swapped out as well. The only legitimate concern I can ever remember hearing about is the intercooler location but in reality I think that's a pretty simple problem to solve.
Id say go for it since you have both vehicles.
