This is what the math concludes: 245 will be about 4/5" wider than 225. That splits into 2/5" wider on each side. A typical pinky just a bit more than that, so it should JUST clear. At least while the car is running level, not loaded down, and not encountering bumps or variations in the surface on which it is traveling, anyways. But just to be on the safe side, you may want to consider upgrading to a 944, as the fenders on that model flare out farther, allowing the larger tires to fit better.
