Yep, the cup spilled a little, shorted out the electronics, and the dealer said no warranty, she shouldn't put liquid containers in the cup holder above sensitive electronics.
Caint remember exactly how it cost but I remember it was over a grand and that was the second problem he had with that car that the dealer refused to treat as a warranty claim.

He paid to have to have it fixed and sold the car in the same week. He goes out of his way to tell everyone he knows how sheety mercedes cars are.
