Question: do the early 986 Speedster humps fit the later 987? The Porsche factory documentation is unclear on this. I have a part number of 986-504-994-01-G2X, which seems to indicate it's for both the 986 and the 987 but you can never tell with Porsche.
Pelican sells this kit for $850, and it comes with the factory installation kit. From what I can remember, the humps attach into the spring locks that also hold the factory hartop - these locks and bolts can cost $100 alone (I'm not sure if they are included in the installation kit or not). So, if I were to hazard a guess, you could spend $550 with this eBay guy, get some questionable quality parts, and then have to spend a few hundred dollars just to get the Porsche mounting hardware. Or, you can go with the factory stuff with the included mounting kit for $850. If the factory stuff were $1500, then I would go with the eBay guy. But, the difference between the two doesn't seem to be that vast to me.
