Well I think I finally fixed the problem. I believe it was the main ground to the engine on the intake manifold. It was a bit difficult to get to, but did not take too long. I took it off and hit it with with a bit of sandpaper and now it seems to start and crank better. Every once in a while it will still crank hard but it is probably 90% better.
