I have heard that here in the east the coyotes are taking the place of wolves that are just about gone.
Many people around here put donkeys in their pastures to keep coyotes away from calves. I don't think the guy with horses would have a problem.
I kind of think about my little Walker dog. I was told by folks where I've asked to run her during off season that they have a coyote problem. Nothing yet, but I've heard them a time or two.
