John, thats alot of spring tension, we have had great results to 8K with a measley 180 pounds on the nose @.500 and only 80- pounds closed with lightweight parts, including lifters and pushrods and lightened rockers..
The valve dropped on #2 exhaust.The engine had NEVER had the heads off, over 160K atleast and had been given 100% pure hell by me before she ever started driving it.....
Valve train is where its at, less spring tesnion, better parts and nothing is ever too light...shoot me an email and I'll send you some pics of some of my valve train pieces.
