When I was 4 or so, freaked out the whole town. 1st day of Kindergarten. Told it was sleep time, nap time. I wasn't sleepy, but figured if everybody was sleeping, it must be over. So, I got up, walked home...roughly 4 miles. Couldn't figure out why mom sounded upset...she was on the phone when I got home, hollered: "Oh my God, he just walked in the door." Then the phone calls to the police, the local searchers...
I'd forgotten all about it, but Mom reminded me many years later. This when we were mad at Dee-Dee for going to the neighbors without telling us...
