Hey David, remember earlier on you said that,
"A DME scan will give the engine number so you can make sure the DME matches the number stamped on the engine."
ok, I am curious on one thing though...say..in this scenario....if the engine had been replaced...just the engine....and the DME remains untouched...so when one gets a DME scan...yes, it would still show the engine number, but is it possible that even though the engine had been replaced already, the DME won't detect that bit?
Also, i understand that a DME can be repaired, but is it safe to use a repaired DME?
will it compromise the overall performance of the car? or it is best to replace with a new DME instead.
