Look up BAHA on the web, stands for Bone Anchored Hearing Aide. There is a little metal (TI) stud located just behind my right ear. I can't wear a fitted (non-adjustable) baseball cap. I won't even think of wearing a hardhat any more for work. If that stud comes lose or gets knocked off it is 12 more weeks of recovery time before the aide can be used. For that very reason I refuse to wear a helmet and that means I can not get past the instruction phase.
