He really was King of the hill, in my judgment, though I was not a racer. It was Chris and John who called him that. I'd be happy to answer any questions about it that might be helpful.

Hi David, really happy you posted. I've thought of you many times over the years with good thoughts and wishes, and hoped that one day our paths would cross again so I could tell you how grateful I have always been for your superior writing skills, interest in Mulholland, and for that great article that you did for New West Magazine. I sincerely hope life has treated you well and that good health and happiness has been your fortune.
If you have read this unbelievable thread you know that what Derek started became something of epic proportions and it personally lit a fire under me and made me fix the Carrera finally (thanks again Derek and to all who lit the match). So if you want to go for a little putt on Mulholland sometime, please don't hesitate to say so. It would be my honor.
(It's about time we had a Mullholland gathering guys, been too long, partly my fault yes).
Please join us on Mul if you can David, time and day will be posted here in the near future. I would love to see and talk to you again.
Best always, Chris Banning
