I edited my previous post a bit. My apologies for jumping to conclusions. It's hard to tell a persons attitude when there is no emotion.
I have no intention to restore this car, all I was thinking about was replacing the rear 1/4's and throwing on a set of seat covers. That's about it. I read that it's a non interference motor, so I'm gonna drive it and have fun with it providing I can get it for the right price.
I've been dogged on rlist and a few other forums when I mention this car. I don't know why? I know it's not perfect, but it's definitely not a parts car. It runs and drives too well.
I know the seller is lazy and doesn't like to spent money, but he swears that he's religious when it comes to oil changes and if you read what I wrote above, the engine oil looks like it's fresh from the bottle.
I understand from a restoration point of view this will be an expensive car, but I'm not going to restore it, I just want to drive it and have fun with it. I mean after all, it's just a car and I've owned over 85 cars. I lost count when I got into the 4th gen F-body's (Camaro/Firebird.)
Again I'm sorry I snapped, but I've been ragged on about this car and I have no idea why? The motor alone is worth 2500? Other than the 84-86 Euro, this was the most desirable of the S models. More sought after than the 85-86 US cars.
