Horn Troubles
Was wondering if someone can help me with horn issue I am having.
Here is what I know
I know the ring on the back of steering wheel is fine because I can attach wire to the wire coming off the ring and touch ground on the car and the horn goes off.
I know that the steering shaft is not grounded because if you take that wire coming off the steering wheel ring I should be able to touch the steering shaft with it and have the horn go off. And it does not. I know there was ground wire that goes from the cross member to the rack and pinion and I have tested that we are grounded I even replaced the wire with heavy power ground cable and so I know Rack is grounded good.
What I am not sure of is another way that steering shaft gets grounded other than coming off the Rack?
I need to get this car inspected so I can transfer the plates over to TX and any help would be much appreciated.
