I did my first oil and filter change on my 1999 996 C2. An easy job thanks to the posts on this form.

I let it drain overnight and refilled the next day. With filter the book says 8.7 quarts but to get it to the max on the dip stick and dash oil level segmented display took close to 9.7 quarts. The 8.7quarts seemed to be the min needed.
I also fully drained all the containers as well.
