There's a coincidence for you, David Barry wrote the article "Thunder Road", I bought my first Porsche from David Barry. The '73 that ended up as an updated slope nose that ran the "PVT DNCR" plates.
If I'm not mistaken I scanned and posted the article he wrote about the car about a year after I bought it from him. You'll have to search for it yourself, 300 pages are too many to look thru tonight.
