The 280SL is powered by the very appealing 2.8L TWIN CAM 185hp inliner and is not much slower than than 350SL (Europe and ROW only)...if it is in good shape I say an easy $7K.
Bear in mind a 120K mile 560SL from say 1986 sells for around $10-$13K in decent shape, and the 560SL is far more desirable.
