Moses,
I lived in Helena in 1997 and loved it but it did snow on 31 May and then again in late August that year...
Still love the place and some of my best friends are there. They hold down the fort from October to March. Just a bit cold during winter for me to move there full time but its one of the nicest places on earth even with the cold...
There's something about a state with people there who tell the DOT to go screw themselves and then stand behind the decision. Happened when the federal DOT tried to force the speed limits on Montana. The legislators said that we will make the limit, I believe, "safe and prudent" thus meaning unlimited top speed but one must drive safely while doing so. DOT told them they would pull the federal funding if they did this.
Montana essentially told them to go and bugger themselves and for many years there was no federal funding on its highways and also no speed limit in the interstate highways! Its nice to see a state tell the Feds to shove it and we know whats best for the people in our state!
Joe
