I agree! Not paying interest every month is a thing of beauty. For some time I was paying a thousand in interest every month (not counting main mortgage!).
The one warning about not checking your credit report is that you could be a victim of identify fraud without really knowing it for awhile. For $50 a year I get a monitoring service plus 3 credit reports per year. Anytime a new account is opened on any of the 3 credit reports, I get an email to verify the activity. I also get an email when someone pulls my credit history. This is good to know as this is the first sign of someone opening a new account.
