My favorite was the California Special.
Take a stock 68 moostang, drop in a 195 hp engine, glue on a few poorly-fitting plastic body parts, stick on some tail lights from a thunderbird because you don't have enough imagination to do anything else and voila, a very special limited edition car
(a few were built with 390s and a couple with 428's, but almost all had the 2 bbl lopo 289)
