I figured my post title would get a reaction!
I certainly appreciate all of the feedback. Pete, I have seen that post of yours a few times...fantastic advice. I agree the differences are "minor" to some degree....and it's of course unfair to expect a 25-30 yr old car to behave like a new one with few to no issues...of course if I wanted that, I'd have kept my newer car in the first place...
i've been a BMW owner and forum member for over a decade and have had some old beetles in my life, so I'm not "scared" of older vehicles and such, but it seems as if the 911 has this "mystique of danger and impossibility" around it that to the uninitiated seems pretty daunting...especially with enthusiast cars you get emotions involved as well...
I really appreciate teh info and advice fro the experts. I feel my 25 year dream may be realized soon.....
