I believe the change to R134 has a corrosive effect on the cooling circuit. I was in the market a few years ago and called the Sub Zero factory. "Hey," I said, "what makes you refrigerators so great?" The immediate, no hesitation response was "we build them to last 20 years."
I bought it. Almost as expensive as my SC. We will see if it lasts. I sure hope so.
