Mobil1 1 15w50 is getting harder to find reasonable priced.. walmart no longer carries it and neither does target... which leaves you to the dreaded "part stores".... I just paid $110 for m1 on an oil change....
I sat down and did a little meditation and it occurred to me that even for $150 Id spend the money on something that has never failed me, racing, or in any other car that I "tracked" etc... When I did my valves on my P car I inspected the cam lobes.. notta.. nothing.. smooth as a babies butt.
Mobil has an explanation of why reduced zinc with phosphates added will not cause flat tappet wear.. you can choose to believe them or not... but, please.. please do NOT try and wipe your ass with M1.. I agree with Joe Bob. This is not the intended use of the product and Mobil discourages use of M1 for anything other than its intended use.
Brad Penn on the other hand is capable of ANYTHING.. you may wipe your ass with it, you are fully covered by the Brad Penn warranty and prayers will be said on your behalf when the Brad Penn cult has its annual meeting.
