Tom, As a rule when I open these engines, even the Carreras and pull the dilivars. Years ago I would build a 3.0 and the next morning I would have broken pieces on the floor. Only need this problem onec or twice and you dont fool with it any more.
Update note, I have 2 3.0 that I bought and they have the 993 dilivars, one has 24 and the other has 12. I ve read so much good stuff about them I m going to retorque on them. 3.0 only needs 25ft# so they should survive.
