My unit was the 4/325 ABCT, and we were not a Ranger unit but we had the highest concentration of Ranger tabbed officers and NCO's outside the Ranger Bats. The unit was, at the time often referred to as the 4th Ranger Bat. Seals regulary went through these and other schools, such as pathfinder, jungle warfare, etc. and probably other Amy schools as well. Think about it for a minute, the frickin Navy doesn't run schools of this nature - the limited number of seals would prohibit it. The reverse is not true, never heard of Army being trained by the Navy.

It's funny you should say this. I'm not an expert in military matters by any stretch but I have a good friend, (grew up around the corner from each other), who was a Navy SEAL dive instructor. What little he has told me about his military career includes lots of extended postings on Army and Coast Guard bases teaching their divers + training divers for our foreign allies. The SEAL team are the best divers in the world, all other services take their advanced training from them, I think.
He has been out of the Navy for several years but recently took a job at Fort Campbell as a civilian contractor teaching helicopter dunk survival to Army helicopter pilots in their state-of-the-art facility. I spoke to him Thurs. am, he had the day off because Obama was visiting the base and all non-essential personnel got the day off. As I'm sure you know, Ft. Campbell is one of the places where members of the various elite forces train together although it is my understanding that much of what goes on in that area is classified. (Not publicly described/disclosed). It is of course the home of the 101st AB.
Technically speaking, he is no longer Navy training Army but there in one reason and one reason only that he has that job. FWIW, my cousin is an Army helicopter pilot serving in the ME, flying SEALS, (and others), on missions.
