Yes gravity feed gas, like all cars were at the time.

Yes no ailerons, they had 'wing warping'. First plane to do that, all the earlier tries by others had none and they had to 'skid' around turns with just a rudder (were gliders). Were very unstable.

The 'bicycle mechanics' built their own engine, they could not find one light enough and powerful enough available anywhere.

Built their own wind tunnel, a first, I think. That's how they developed wing warping.

That's a copy of the later 'deluxe' model... it has seats; the original, the pilot laid on his belly on the wing.
