Took the family out today in my 2000 F150 to run errands. Modern trucks are amazing machines. We went down the highway and it was smooth and comfortable. 5 days ago I had 1800lbs (scales don't lie, at least I hope....) of rock in the back. It handled it fine (well.....her ass was draggin a bit.....).
I had a 1976 F-100 many moons ago. Biggest improvements in the modern trucks? Fuel injection, and suspension. Creature comforts have also improved.
