Solid axle trucks are pretty rare. mostly 1 ton or 4x4.
My Silverado has un equal lenght a arms and coils up front. a live axle located by two buggy springs in the rear.
It does have a pretty sweet hydro formed frame and a snazzy rack and pinion rack. Where they failed on the truck is that they used Japanese style ball joint vs. 1960's American style which are angle angled not straight. they wear out sooner
