Yeah, Mr C, I have a 3D digitizer; among other tools for the job. Tho' many machine shops can reverse engineer the parts too.
Do you know the tolerance that the part needs to be digitized to?
If it's flat, you can set in on a flatbed scanner, for a quick result. If that works, I'll make it into a CAD model for ya.
