Finally got back to my 930 rebuild. Picked up the hard parts from the machine shop and everything looks great except for a couple of pistons that look to have fallen victim to over boost. My machinist doesn't seem to think its a huge deal to continue to run these. My anal retentive - pessimistic side has me wringing my hands over what to do. These are stock 3.3L pistons. Two out of the 6 have similar damage on the surface and edge. The smooth finish has been burned away leaving a porous texture exposed.
