My MB still has the tint on the sides & rear from CA. Nobody has said "boo" about it. Of course it's more of a smoke than a limo/black tint, I got it mostly to protect the interior and had a quality install done. Probably one of the reasons the popo doesn't care - since it looks reasonably stock and doesn't give the appearance of the car being involved in ilicit activity or anything.

Now if you're driving around in a pimped-out rig with chrome wheels and some kind of stupid rear window graphics with limo tint all the way around, you're asking for trouble. And honestly I think that's the intent of tint laws - to empower the popo with another tool to go after "certain elements of society" with "probable cause".

If I were gonna' deal drugs or whatever, I'd drive a normal, non-descript car without any tint or out-of-the-ordinary characteristics. Plain vanilla like a Toyota Camry or something...
